Fashion News: This year specially, eye-catching hefty colour gemstones, beads, crystals etc.

Our fascination with jewellery is timeless our passion to own unique pieces is ageless. In these times of scorching inflation I feel guilty admitting this but I am one of those women who buy jewellery just on a whim - yes mine are ALWAYS strictly artificial pieces. Like me, all of my friends are hooked on artificial jewellery. And there is no end to a kaleidoscope of choices.

At the beginning of the year, some friends of mine were scoring different websites for latest trends in jewellery and the trend highlighted a resurgence of exotic multicolour gems and long chains with chunky beads. Coral and turquoise along with pearls have added to the charm of the fashion trend. Internationally too, sapphire, aquamarine and tanzanite have been quite popular.

This year specially, eye-catching hefty colour gemstones, beads, crystals etc. have been the hot favourites on home ground. The more I have skimmed through glossies, window-shopped-and-hopped and searched for imaginative pieces, the more I have become a fan of the collection called 'Wired Up'. I know none of you have heard of it. It's the women working for The Citizens Foundation (TCF) who have the pleasure of first-hand sampling beautiful pieces from this collection. Let me explain. Ms. Seema Chapra works for TCF and her hobby is jewellery making - although now this hobby consumes most of her free time at home. ''One day I got a gift of decorative flowers and stalks made up of wires and beads and I thought this doesn't look too difficult, I can do this. So I started experimenting with wire, copper, silver, etc. Then I started making simple things with wires and beads. I made a few but it wasn't so much fun so I started playing with the wire to create jewellery. This was the humble beginning of 'Wired Up'.

Actually my friends insisted that my pieces make up a big enough collection and need to be labeled properly so we came up with the name Wired Up,'' recalls Ms. Chapra. Having earned a degree in Marketing from Florida, Seema moved to Karachi after living in the USA for 25 years. She has been associated with TCF for more than five years now and it's her passion to continue working for the TCF Cause - education for less privileged children. All the money she earns from 'Wired Up' goes directly to the TCF Help Fund that she has established for the young TCF students who get sick and need urgent medical attention.

You must be wondering how Seema started this whole setup. ''I don't have a formal 'setup' really,'' she grins and shares with You! how it all started. ''Actually in the beginning I only used to make cell phone hangers and lockets for my family members as presents. Soon I got ambitious and started designing elaborate lockets in semi precious stones, beads and wires for myself. I got a lot of encouragement from my friends so I started making earrings, purse hangers, lockets and to my total amazement we started selling them. Girls were actually buying my jewellery. I started making pieces and used to show it to my friends and colleagues at work. They always loved it all and used to buy my earrings and pendants. Some close friends not only bought a lot of my pieces, they also sold them at exhibitions, private gatherings and all the money we earned was put in the TCF Help Fund.

''I believe this is a win-win-situation for everybody. I have a hobby that I am having a lot of fun with, my clients get to buy and wear a different kind of jewellery and their money actually goes to help less privileged kids. Can you beat this?''
Recently Seema Chapra took a class at 'SuzyQ Beads' in Calgary, Canada. She tells You!, ''I attended a really fun class in making Egyptian style copper wire jewellery. I had never worked with this weight of copper wire and had to learn how to use all kinds of pliers and other tools to bend and twist the wire. The end result was pretty amazing. Now I am experimenting with what I have learned and incorporating my own ideas in some fresh pieces these days. ''

We know that sometimes even if you carry a simple outfit, your jewellery makes you stand out. Your jewellery defines your style and your attitude in life. Choose pieces that appeal to your imagination - not just go for what's in - the best part is if you discover that current hot trends actually do sync in perfectly with your particular persona. 'Wired Up' offers something unique and if it stirs up your interest, rest assured ladies because in near future Ms. Chapra is all set to exhibit in Karachi. Watch out for upcoming You! issues for further details.

Fashion Articles: Traditions of the North Pakistan

Following the well attended Sindh festival now comes in the Karakoram festival which was not only entertaining but informative to the residents of Karachi. You! takes a look at the five day long festivities...

Each and every country has its own distinctive culture. Many countries have cultural diversity within the nations distinguishing from neighboring states. The strength of a nation, particularly a nation like Pakistan lies in its culture, traditions and ethnicity, differentiating one province from another. Sadly the people living in this country themselves are deprived of the richness of various existing cultures that need to be accepted, respected and promoted. This is not only about the economics of tourism the knowledge of the very concept brings in a collective sense of pride to the nation.

The best way to know and enjoy any culture is to experience it first-hand in its environment but for the ones who can't, it is surely a blessing to have different events and festivals promoting our traditional background.

Recently, a five day long festival was held in Park Towers honouring the rich Karakoram culture. This was done by presenting different aesthetics of the region including performing arts and clothes, giving us Karachiites a taste of all that we are missing. The Karakoram festival was being held for the second time and hopefully will continue to be celebrated years to come so that the new generation stays in touch with the roots of the Pakistani culture.

Park Towers on the whole was decorated in a traditional way beginning with the entrance. Great effort was made to transform the modern shopping mall into a doorway to the Northern Karakoram area. The entrance had decoration pieces of animals found in that area such as the mountain deer, peacocks and parrots. One could also see stalls of ethnic clothes and dry fruits. One special stall and by far the most creative one was of the Afghan onyx marble, where decoration pieces of marbles were carved in the shape of different animals.

The most popular stall amongst all was the ladies stall with shawls, the most widely demanded being the Pashmina shawls from Kashmir. These shawls are known for their warmth and good quality the ones available at the festival were expensive but classy. Different styles of Pashmina were available depending on the preference of the buyer such as shawls with embroidery, flowery designs, handwork, needle work and hook work. Also available were unstitched suits, cushions and pillow covers.

Exquisite jewellery of the Northern areas being sold was traditional yet funky comprising earring, necklaces and bangles.

The collectors' items which one can easily place in a drawing room include ancient knives, swords, carpets and antique mirrors. Adding spice to the festival were the different traditional dance performances and live folk music. Hanza Nagar, Chitral, Tajik and Gilgit are the various dances of the Karakoram area and were much loved and enjoyed by the spectators as the performances were welcomed by a round of applause. Agreed people are too occupied with their own lives to focus on searching for our hidden culture but festivals like these create awareness and the people who were attending the mall just for the sake of shopping instinctively became a part of the event. All in all the event was entertaining and a good learning experience to those who do not know much about our culture.

Fashion Hairstyle: Trendy 2009 Hairstyles to Consider

Here represent some of the most fashionable and trendy hair styles with short to long length hair which are now a days in demand. Follow these hair styles for looking more stylish and modish.

1. Bob Cuts - A classic bob cut droop uniformly around jaw length where as a graduated bob hangs at a direction, with the frontage hair extensive than the nape. Bob cuts looks great for many women and can be modified without any problems to accentuate a woman's features. Also they can be trimmed without bangs, with long and side-swept bangs.

2. Page Boys - A page boy is basically a longer bob cut. It hangs under the chin and tops of the shoulders. A page boy is an everlasting hairstyle for women in any age and looks mainly elegant on older women. The bottoms can be rounded and curled or flipped up

3. Spiky Cuts - Most of the older women choose for a funky, short spike cut. These cuts are easy to maintain and looks well for vigorous women.

4. Crop Cuts - Short crop haircuts with multiple layers are one more great selection for women. A plump, fresh look can be attained with razor cuts or fairy cut.

5. Long Hair - Previously most of the older women were disheartened from having long hair. While shorter haircuts often hide some general troubles, it is perfectly satisfactory to wear hair long as well.

Georgio Armani

Contemporary with a deliberate sense of shape: a dual approach that transcends that boringly traditional look so often confused with classic style. A new way of dressing in which the choice of fabrics and their combination in different weights results in a totally renewed vision of the classic, a union of powerful fabrics that emphasises the impact of the garment.

A fitted silhouette with restrained saddle shoulders defines the formal wear, while the sportswear, with its recognisable urban flavour, goes for soft volumes and suggests warmth without bulk. Even the padded jackets appear light, as though deconstructed, with neat linings in plush pile, while the parka comes in lined leather and the caban in ultra light sheepskin.

Colours are mostly dark - including brown juxtaposed with grey - sometimes with a velvet sheen, sometimes with a matt finish, always emphasising the general mood of elegant restraint. Knitwear features tapestry-style mixed patterns, maximising the depth of the colours - the effect is disciplined, and set off by the formal jackets.

This duality - dark/colourful, coarse/soft, classic/contemporary - is the key theme running through this deeply considered and precisely designed collection, in which scarves can be worn as shirts to impart vivacity to the formal jackets, while the trench seems to evolve into a cloak. Shoes are as significant as ever, reinstating traditional and chunky shapes in combination with unexpected touches of whimsy, reflecting the personality and individuality of the wearer.

Fashion Tips: 20 Beauty Secrets Every Teen Should Know

There's nothing worse than getting advice from older people, we know, we know, but the truth is some advice is worth taking and keeping, especially when it comes to fun beauty tips. We've been reading fashion magazines and testing beauty products for years. In this time, we've read 1000s of beauty tips, tried 1000s of products, but only a few are worth keeping around. So, here we share with you the 20 things we wish we knew when we were teenagers.

1. Skip the foundation If you have acne the first thing you want to do is slather on the thick foundation. Don't. Foundation is for women over 35. Not only will it cover up your natural beauty, but foundation on a teenager looks anything but natural. Instead, cover up blemishes with concealer, then follow with a powder or tinted mosturizer. Tinted moisturizers tend to be lighter than heavy foundations.

2. You pat concealer in, you never rub it in We know this from watching the Tyra Banks show. When applying concealer, put a bit on the pad of your middle finger and pat it in. Never rub. Got acne? Pat the concealer on top of it.

3. Play up your lips or your eyes, never both If you are wearing heavy eye makeup, go for nude lips with just a bit of gloss. Prefer the drama of dark lipstick? Keep face light (stay away from heavy blush) and wear only mascara on your eyes and a light eyeshadow. Don't heavily line your eyes. Play up both and you'll look like a clown.
And never, ever line lips in a darker color than your gloss or lipstick.

4. Less is more Ever notice how some of your friends look best with no makeup at all? No matter your age, too much makeup makes you look worse. If you wear foundation, powder, blush, liner, mascara, eyeshadow, lip liner and gloss on an everyday basis, then you're overdoing it. Tone it down: All you really need is a great mascara, concealer for blemishes and gloss. Add a pop of blush in winter.

5. Natural hair is always hot If you have super dark hair, lighten your look by going a shade darker or getting lighter highlights. Blonde? Try highlights, especially framing the face. We see too many teens lightening their hair several shades and the look can be super-tacky, not super-fabulous. The trick is to let people assume you were born with sun-kissed hair, not that you gave yourself a bad dye job from a bottle. More hair color tips here.

6. Vaseline is your best friend Vaseline is a great, cheap eye makeup remover. It's also great for fixing chapped, scaly lips. Slather on a bunch of Vaseline, then use a toothbrush to massage lips. Wipe the excess off on a tissue. Your lips will be smooth and soft.

7. You can never go wrong with layers Long layers are great for any hair type: Super curly, straight or wavy. It makes thin hair appear thicker, curly hair appear manageable and wavy hair appear just-got-back-from-the-beach sexy. Just make sure you don't get too many layers cut in. Too many short layers is dated.

8. Acne? Get thee to a dermatologist, stat Biggest mistake people with acne make? Not going to a dermatologist. Forget those 150 dollars jeans you covet. Getting rid of those pimples will be the best investment you'll ever make. And the only guaranteed way to do it is with a dermatologist.

9. Spend money on key beauty products Not sure what to splurge on and what to save on? I give you the scoop in this article. See if you should splurge or save on cleansers, mascara, concealer and more.

10. Buying foundation or lipstick? Test it first There are some beauty products you simply must try out at a department store or Sephora before you buy. These include: Foundation, lipstick, blush and powder.
Buy these products in a grocery store and you'll be lucky if you picked the right color for your skin tone. What you can get away with without testing: Mascara, eye liner, most basic eye shadows and lip gloss.

11. When can you skip sunscreen ? Never Here's a trick we wish we knew: The first beauty product you should apply every day is sunscreen, even if it's cloudy or rainy outside. Why? Good habits start young and if you use sunscreen now, you'll have gorgeous skin when you're 50, 60, 70. Remember, the sun's UV rays can penetrate clouds and car windows.

12. Wrapping hair around the barrel creates waves There's nothing cooler than long, layered waves. To get them, wind hair AROUND the barrel of a large curling iron. Reverse direction for each 2-inch section (wind up for one, down for another).

13. Self-tanner will always stink Unfortunately, even the best ones smell. Your best bet is to apply self-tanner a good 24 hours before an important event and take a shower (don't loofah) to wash off any smell. For really big events like a dance or wedding, consider a professional spray tan. These are pricey and don't last long, so make sure to do it a day before the big event.

14. Don't let nails go Not into manicures and pedicures? No worries. Just make sure to keep nails clean and the same length. If you do want to paint them, don't keep the polish on until half of it's chipped away. Also, there's nothing worse than too-long toenails. Keep nails clipped between pedicures! People tend to judge others by the care they put into their hands and feet.

15. Don't line the inside of your eyes It will make your eyes appear smaller. Instead, line just at the lash line. Also, an obvious line doesn't look natural. Smudge the line just a bit.

16. Oily hair? Invest in a dry shampoo If you have blonde hair, sprinkling a bit of baby powder on your roots and at your crown will soak up excess oils. If you have brown hair, you might be better off with a dry shampoo for your hair color.

17. Shave legs at the end of the shower Cut down on nicks and cuts by making shaving the very last step in your shower or bathing ritual.

18. Know your best feature and play it up What feature do people comment on most? Play it up. If you're told you have Angelina Jolie lips, make sure to wear gloss and play with bold lipstick colors. If it's your eye color people love, find eyeshadow colors that complement them and make sure to wear mascara. Also, know what color shirts look best on you and go shopping.

19. Scrubs are great for dry skin If you have dry, itchy skin in winter, invest in a scrub and handmitts and scrub away in the bathtub. Make sure to slather on a thick moisturizer afterward. For dry, callousy feet, buy a pumice stone. They work better than any of the other wimpy options on the market.

20. Remember: Beauty is mostly internal Think about a girl you know who's overweight yet all the guys love her. Why? Because she's confident. If you aren't wearing makeup and your toes haven't been repainted in weeks, if you're happy and smiling you will still be 10 times prettier than the mopey cheerleader sitting next to you in class.

Skin Care: Chemical Peels

Our exclusive poll has revealed that 62 percent of you lovely ladies are worried about ageing. Whilst chemical peels have been the beauty secret of the rich and famous for years, a new breed of DIY kits are now on the market, claiming to give you A-list skin, all in the comfort of your own home. This week our gorgeous gokettes will be putting four products through their paces, but what do these peels actually do?

Well essentially a peel is a means of being cruel to be kind. The theory is that by stripping off the top layers of skin you can get rid of various surface imperfections and allow new fresh skin to rise to the surface. Typically these peels will use a combination of alphahydroxy and betahydroxy acids and as the affect is only light, regular treatments are required to maintain the effect.

A normal DIY peel will need to be left for between 2-15 minutes, after which it can be washed off. Typically it will produce some mild stinging and make the skin go slightly pink for a few hours afterwards. There may also be faint white discolouration and blotches, but the skin should then return to normal.

As with any treatment of this sort, you should be aware of the risks. It is possible that your skin could get infected and your skin will almost certainly feel tight and swollen for a while. As you'll have shed a few skin layers, the beach should be avoided, as you'll be hypersensitive to sunlight for a time.

Skin Care: Get tough with sensitive skin

The skin on your face is, on average, five times thinner than the rest of your body, so it's important to know how sensitive your skin is. Use our checklist to find out.Lady with a metal brushDoes your skin...

* Sunburn easily?* Go red when you touch it or after drying it with a towel?* Break out in blemishes when you're stressed?* Get red, irritated and dry when the temperature changes?* Feel tight and itchy after cleansing?* React to sunscreens or other skincare products?

If you answer 'yes' to two or more of these questions, you have sensitive skin and should treat it with care. Our guide below can tell you how to do just that.Feed your skin
Cleansing with a mild, PH-neutral soap, ideally an isethionate-based product such as Dove that's light on lipid- and protein-damaging alkalines and rich in moisturisers will prevent your skin dehydrating and cracking.

Hydrate your skin with a moisturiser once or twice a day, depending on the weather. During the winter, when the air humidity tends to be lowest, you should bump up your moisturising regime.
Use a toning product to kill bacteria and remove any residual make-up. Natural ones such as tea tree oil and witch hazel are good - they have antiseptic and astringent properties.

Exfoliate: get rid of those dead skin cells that stubbornly cling to your skin and stimulate the production of fresher, younger cells. Make sure you don't exfoliate too harshly, for instance with a pumice stone or products with ingredients such as glycolic acid, as this could damage your skin's underlying structure. Don't forget your sunscreen!

Avoid polluted environments pollution is packed with damaging free radicals.
Eat foods rich in anti-oxidants anti-oxidants zap those nasty little free radicals and can be found in a variety of foods, including fruit and nuts.
Washing your clothes in non-biological detergents that include skin-friendly ingredients such as aloe vera will help you to cut down on your skin's exposure to potentially irritating chemicals.

Fashion Tips: Men's Fashion : Dress to impress

How should a man dress to impress? First, always wear clothes that correspond to the occasion. Second, always wear a well put-together outfit.
If you have trouble deciding on what to wear, it is always better to be overdressed than underdressed. You wouldn't want to show up in casual wear for dinner at an expensive restaurant with a woman dressed to kill.
A man should always be dressed to meet the occasion or situation. No matter where you are going with a woman, you should always be wearing clean, well-kept clothes. Believe it or not, women prefer clothes that are well-kept and clean to clothes that are worn out or dirty! That may seem obvious to you, but it is important to remember. By taking care of how you look, and by showing some style, you show women that you really care about your presentation - and women notice!

Always... Look Your Best! You should always take the time to look your best whenever you go out. You never know when you may have the opportunity to meet a stunning, beautiful woman - the grocery store, Laundromat, or coffee shop. Be sure to pay attention to the whole outfit. It's worth the extra money to buy yourself some nice clothes to wear out. And don't forget about the shoes or boots, a new belt and a nice watch. Accessories do make a huge difference. If you wear a well put-together outfit you will look sharp and portray more confidence.
The way you dress actually will change how you behave. Think about it- if you wore a clown costume all day, you would feel silly and goofy. So if you want to have more sex appeal, wear something that makes you feel sexy. Women will respond to the image you project. Figure out what image you portray now and then make the necessary changes in your wardrobe to attain your desired image. Whatever image you want to give women be sure to act the part. You should consider all behavior that attributes to your overall personal image - physical gestures, eye contact. Use your clothes to emphasize your desired image.
With all my experience, and from talking with other guys, a successful look to maintain is to wear a pair of nice pressed or ironed pants and a sport shirt. Add to these basics a trendy blazer, leather jacket or simple sport coat. Wear some good-quality stylish leather shoes or boots (match your leather jacket if you wear one!) and be sure to always keep your shoes polished.
Be sure to show good taste. The whole outfit can be relaxed, trendy, conventional, or professional, but any route you take you must look sharp. Try to stay away from wearing a tie.
You want to stay loose and approachable - not uptight or snobby looking. A simple well put-together outfit is best. You'll be more successful with women than you've ever imagined if you wear a clean, classic, well put-together outfit that exudes style and self-pride.
Refine Your LooksWomen notice every little thing about a man's grooming. Every time they see a guy they go through a mental checklist. Is his hair washed and styled? Are his fingernails clean or manicured? Are his shoes polished? Clothes clean? Is he bathed? Does he smell good? These things really matter to women! Clean and neat counts! Find a grooming regime that works for you and stay polished!

Fashion Articles: Party Tips For The Young Ones

1.Artists and Models: Provide old white dress shirts for each guest, and a set of markers. A great activity for the guests is creating works of art on each other's shirts. The souvenir is the collective art shirt.
2.Creative Crafts: These parties are very popular, especially with girls of all ages. A favorite is tissue flower making, where the materials for each guest cost under a dollar. Gather recyclables and turn your crafters loose on their own floral creations. Guys will get into painting baseball hats or t-shirts.
3.Fix Your Own Food: Parties that involve each guest preparing his/her own pizza, tacos, subway and for dessert, sundaes are a hit. Paper chef's hats and aprons, personalized with guests names are a great touch. 4.Costume Swapping: Costume swapping parties are hilarious when guests bring outfits for each other. The creativity is boundless when another's embarrassment is at stake. 5.Treasure Hunts: Treasure huntscreated to take place in your backyard or near neighborhood will intrigue the young guests. Provide a super sleuth kit, complete with magnifying glass or pirate's gear for each guest depending on your hunt's theme. Each team goes on a different trail to collect their clues.
6.Funky Music:Playlets or Musical Productions, complete with costume effects, props and a set or two, will bring out the talents of guests. Parts are assigned by drawing for them and you are the director. Include non-speaking parts such as animals, trees, statues, piano, etc. For youngsters that cannot read. Video tape the fiasco (and it will be one) for viewing during refreshments.

7.In House Camping:Weather permitting, plan camp out sleepovers in your backyard. Set up tents and a campsite. Start a fire for cooking out, keeping warm and gathering around for singing and scary stories. A pancake breakfast tops off the outing. Take lots of photos and video for souvenirs.

Fashion Tips: How to decorate your outfit with a scarf

Fashion scarves are more popular than ever. Here are a few ideas to experiment with in adding them to your wardrobe.
Even if you have never worn a scarf before, it's not too late to start. Browse the accessories department of your local clothing or department store to check out the selection. When you find a style, fabric, and size you like, take it home and experiment with a variety of new looks.

1. Wear a scarf on your head. Fold your new silk accent into a triangle shape by meeting one end with its diagonal opposite. Tie it under your chin for a smoky 1930's look, straight from the great movie era. Then tie it at the nape of your neck for a European look. Next, fold it length-wise and place it atop your head with the ends framing your face. Try a bevy of looks to coordinate with various outfits.

2. Next, tie a scarf around your shoulders. You will need a larger piece for this profile, and you may want to choose a solid color to go with a print outfit, or vice versa. Knot it loosely at your chest or at either shoulder, using a brooch that picks up the mood of the piece. Or you can fold it lengthwise and lay it around your shoulders, with the ends in front, then cross one end over the opposite shoulder to fall over your back, and hold it in place with a decorator pin. Another look is to lower the scarf around your neck until it rests on your upper arms and secure it at your chest with a pin that loops the ends together.

3. Circle your waist with a scarf. Using a longer scarf this time, you can roll it loosely into a coil rather than a flat shape and wrap it around your waist, tying it in front. Or have the ends meet on one side and cross them, securing the intersection with a decorator pin or a belt. Another look involves having the ends meet in back and tie there.

4. Use a scarf to drape your hips. A wider scarf works well this way. Tie the ends at one hip or the other. Shape the scarf into a triangle and let the narrow piece flank one hip while the ends meet at the other for a Gypsy look. A fringed scarf is especially effective. Use a print that blends with the other colors of your outfit so that the overall effect does not become unintentionally garish

5. Accent your belt with a colorful scarf. Loop a coiled scarf through a belt loop or the front buckle and let both ends dangle. Or lace your coiled scarf through the belt loops of a skirt or trousers and use it as a belt. The same scarf looping can work with a belt to enhance the girded look.

Scarves function as head covers, shawls for the shoulders, cinches for the waist, and accents for the hips. Try out any of these styles, or others of your choosing, to make a scarf work well with your wardrobe. Why go for basic when you can look brilliant?

Fashion News: 2009 Spring fashion trends for males

Renewing one's wardrobe is usually a more difficult task for men, since women's fashion trends are a more popular topic by far, they can find many recommendations online and in magazines. However, fashion for males is also constantly evolving and one shouldn't be afraid to try something new on. Let's have a look at men's fashion for spring 2009.
Plaid fabric is going to be the most popular for suits and especially pants. It's the traditional British image, but it has a new twist, which will attract men of all ages. Plaid pieces are not only for elderly men: the new plaid fabric might surprise you with eye-catching colors, such as yellow, pink and turquoise. Designers recommend wearing one plaid piece at a time: choose either pants or a shirt or a jacket, but not all at once. And if you do choose to wear two or more pieces of plain clothing, refrain from using different patterns.

There's another change in fabrics as well. The sheer shirts often seen in Latino fashion takes a step into masses. It fits any occasion: you can choose to wear a sheer shirt under a jacket for a formal meeting and leave your jacket at home for a daring look on your night out.
White suits are another classical detail that's going to be at the top this spring. Of course, they are not meant to be worn by anyone, but if you choose to do so, you will definitely look refined and sophisticated. It doesn't have to be a tuxedo: white casual clothes are popular as well. Choose a white top to toe look for the hottest spring image.
Don't be affraid of pink: it's not only for little girls. While women tend choose neonic shades of pink, men should concentrate on light pink clothes for spring 2009. Light pink shirts and ties will be especially trendy. If you want a safer color, choose muted orange - it will be fashionable too.

Patent leather pants will be a dedication to bold men this spring. Who doesn't want to look like a rock star? Such a style is sure to attract quite a few gazes and charm everyone arround. If you're afraid you'll make a huge fashion mistake by wearing these pants, choose a classic combo: black skintight pants and a white shirt. Unfortunatelly patent leather doesn't look good on everyone, but if you have a slim build, leave your doubts behind and go with leather. If that's too daring (or German) for you, look for accesories made out of patent leather.
The begining of spring 2009 might be too cold for shorts, but it's the right time to get into cropped pants. Almost every designer has cropped pants in his spring-summer 2009 collection. If you're about to pick a new sweater, choose a buttoned cardigan and you won't be wrong. The prep school image is very trendy, men can choose either a one-colored sweater or pick something with funny patterns such as argyle or stripes. One must note that buttoned cardigans work well on formal occasions as well as free time activities.
If you want to be a trendy man, add a bit of color to your wardrobe. Either bright shoes or a neonic pl...

The skin reflects and reacts to your entire being - physical, intellectual, emotional and spiritual. If you eat well, exercise regularly, sleep adequately and find ways to alleviate the stress in your life, your skin will reflect this healthy lifestyle.

A good skin is an asset for the future and affect not only how people see us, but how we see the world. In our current environment it is so important to protect and care for our skin.
TYPES OF SKIN
Skin can be divided into various types according to its texture. It is essential to know the various types of skin, so that its treatment can be done accordingly.
Normal skin
Dry skin
Oily skin
Combination skin
Sensitive skin
Normal Skin:
It has a fine even texture with a supple and smooth surface. It has a proper balance between oil and moisture contents and is therefore moist and neither greasy nor dry. It looks clear and does not develop spots and blemishes. The pores of the skin are fine and barely visible. It reflects good health and needs gentle treatment.
Dry skin:
Dry skin has a dry parched appearance and has a tendency to flake easily. It is prone to wrinkles and lines. It is due to the inability to retain moisture as well as the insufficient production of sebum by the sebaceous glands. Dry skin often has problems in cold weather and ages faster than normal or oily skin. Constant protection is very important. It needs a moisturiser during the day and a good cream at night.

Oily skin:
This type of skin is caused by the over secretion of sebum making the skin surface oily. The excess oil on the surface of the skin attracts dirt and dust from the environment. oily skin is also prone to black heads, white heads, spots, pimples and such skin will never be clear. This type of skin needs to be cleansed thoroughly.
Combination skin:
This type of skin is very common. As the name suggests, it is a combination of both oily and dry skin with certain areas of the face oily and the rest dry. Usually there is a Central greasy panel consisting of the forehead, nose and chin and a dry panel consisting of cheeks and the areas around the eyes and mouth. The greasy central panel is referred to as T - Zone. In such cases, each part of the face should be treated accordingly - the dry areas as for dry skin and the central panel as for oily skin.
Sensitive skin:
This type of skin has a fine texture and is very sensitive to changes in the climate. They show the disadvantage of bleaching, Waxing, threading etc.

Hair Care Tips: Trimming Your Hair

Different people have different preferences when it comes to triming your hair length. A lot of men I know think that long hair on a woman is the ONLY way kind of style that looks good. A lot of women I know cling to their long locks for many of the same reason.Whatever the reasons, most people with long hair are adamant about keeping it long. This is a good thing, as long as the hair is healthy. Maintaining the health of your hair is an arduous task that must be done religiously. If you haven't been taking the abest care of your hair, get a fresh cut and fresh start.
Healthy hair actually grows faster and this time around you can be sure to give your hair what it needs to be strong, soft, and shiny. How can we girls (and guys) resist the temptation of curling irons and straighteners? All that talk about products and heat being bad for your hair don't mean much when you walk out of the house with bouncing curls or straight, luscious locks.

Take a look around you at the people you know who have been styling their hair with heat and products for a long time.It stops looking good with excess breakage and just looks atrocious when the hair is so damaged that you can see a crispy, fried row of hair up and down a part and all over the back of the head. We've all seen it, we all cringe, and we all wake up the next morning and plug in the straighteners.A year later, you notice that your hair has taken a turn for the worst. That walking nightmare of split ends and frizz has become you! Be honest with yourself. You know if your hair is damaged and everybody else can tell, too. Unfortunately, there is no way to get rid of slit ends besides lopping them off, no matter what commercials say. Fortunately, if you start from scratch with an easy, healthy hair care regimen with affordable products and invaluable tips, you can be proud of a thicker, shinier, and softer head of hair than ever before! On average, hair grows at a rate of about one-half inch (1.25cm) per month, andtypically the hair should be trimmed every 8 weeks. This means, between cuts, the hair should have grown about an inch (2.5cm).

If your hair is already the length you desire, this means you have an inch to spare, and that inch is the part of the hair that has been the most abused, most mistreated, and most damaged. In short, that inch is ready to retire.
If you are trying to grow your hair longer, this means you can lose the least healthy half-inch of hair with each trim and still gain 3 inches each year. It may seem like slow progress, but you'll be happier with the results in the end. If your hair need a trim and you are too busy to go to saloon. Try these quick tips to solve your trimming problem.
Yet, we all know that the longer the hair is, the longer it's been exposed to the tortures we put our hair through everyday. Sun, wind, blow-drying, pony-tail holders, harsh shampoos, smog, pillows, and even poor diet can all take their toll on hair. In order to keep your hair looking healthy, even if it's long, you must keep trimming your hair.

1. If you have big and bushy bangs look in a mirror and snip into your forehead fringe at an angle with a pair of scissor. Carefully cut them a bit at a time. To avoid over-clipping, stop every three cuts to reassess your work.

Learn How to Care For Very Dry Hands

Your hands are some of the most essential parts of your body. They are very useful in almost daily routine every single day of your life. Taking care of your hands should form part of your skin care regimen. Left unattended, they begin to develop dryness. It may also lead to the ugly chapped look and, perhaps, other more serious skin conditions.
In today's business etiquette, hands are essential in establishing and nurturing lasting acquaintance and relations. You use your hands in making handshakes which, to most, speak a great deal about yourself.
The natural aging process and a wide variety of environmental factors and unhealthy lifestyles contribute to the onset of dry skin. These combine a series of processes that lead to the gradual loss of collagen and diminished ability of the skin to retain moisture. Extended exposure to direct rays of the sun also results to rapid water loss through evaporation.
